PNC Foundation awards $10,000
grant to Mobile Works
PNC Foundation recently awarded Mobile Works a $10,000 grant to continue to provide financial literacy information and weekly training classes to Mobile residents. This is the second consecutive year that Mobile Works has received a grant from PNC Bank. Under the new grant, Mobile Works will again provide classes which focuses on topics such as basic banking, budgeting, avoiding identity theft, and key elements of money management.
"We're excited to continue our partnership with PNC Foundation, states Sydney Raine, Mobile Works president. "It's important for job seekers and
the community to take a proactive approach to understanding basic finances. Educating ourselves with the right information can significantly improve the quality of our lives." Raine further believes that it's not always, how much money you make; it's about effectively managing the money you have.
Additionally, these classes will provide basic tools to help address additional barriers for employment. More than 60 people per month are expected to attend these classes.
