Greetings!
What does hope look like to you? I see hope every day at the Cancer Support Community - in the bright faces of the children who gather for Kids Circle, in the dedication of our staff and volunteers as they fight the good fight, and in our group members as they share their journey and find strength in one another. That's why "Faces of Hope" is the perfect name for our upcoming Gala on May 1st (details are below). Please take a couple of minutes to read on about the people and programs that fill every day at CscVvsb with hope.
All the best,

Hope on Wheels at CscVvsb

We want to thank our friends at Amgen for donating six brand-new children's bicycles to our cause! As part of a team-building exercise, several groups of Amgen executives rose to the challenge of building complete bicycles without instructions.

These employees also rose to the challenge of giving back to the community by donating the bicycles to CscVvsb.

"The folks at Amgen proved that thinking outside the box can result in some creative and fun ways to make a difference in the lives of people fighting cancer," says CscVvsb CEO Jim Campbell.

An Amgen representative involved with the project adds:

At Amgen, our mission is to serve patients and all of our activities will have that goal in mind. We have a new team and as part of the team assimilation, we felt what better way to introduce team members than engaging in an activity that not only builds relationships amongst new team members but, more importantly, inspires all of us to remain dedicated and work hard together to serve patients. It feels good to know that what we did put a smile on a few faces and most importantly for us to realize that our culture and mission is something to be proud of.

Do you have a creative way to give back? Please let us know by calling 805.379.4777, or  send us an email.
