Case Study: Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce
The TIP team is presently working with the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce and the East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission in Anniston, AL, to prepare for the Anniston Army Depot’s reduction in workload. In preparation for the conclusion of the chemical demolition operation, local leaders applied for and received a grant from the Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA) to address the layoffs that would result from the expected reduction in workload at the Depot.
