The May 2014 Art Walk
Join us for Art in 27 participating Art Walk venues

The May Art Walk is loaded with exciting art experiences, new exhibits, live music, senior shows,  awards, new locations, special events and more, 6-10 p.m. Friday May 2.

 

Art Walk welcomes new member Blue Block Lofts, which debuts with a show by PhotoArtist John Huntley of www.shutterart.net.

 

The Springfield Chapter of the American Institute of Architects brings a special event to 319 Downtown with a display of submissions to the 2014 AIA Springfield Design Awards - open to the public at 8 p.m.

 

Young artists in grades 2-5 explore American Democracy and the Rule of Law: Why Every Vote Matters in the Law Day Poster Contest Exhibition at The Creamery.

 

The Springfield Police Museum at the Calaboose will be open to the public during Art Walk.

 

Art Walk is also proud to announce the addition of a new sponsor: LaborMax Staffing!

 

Finally, ART WALK COUNTS in May. Art Walk member venues will stamp the hands of visitors and count heads; these numbers will help us in our strategic planning for the future.

AIA Springfield Display at 319 Downtown, 319 W. Walnut St., features entries to the 2014 Design Awards of the Springfield Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Open to the public  between 8 and 11 p.m. on Art Walk night!
