Art Walk welcomes you to a springtime feast for the senses April 4 with original art in 24 participating venues! Transformation Gallery & Tattoo makes its debut as an official Art Walk member featuring Original Fine Artwork by Gabe Tenneson and Austin Evans.

Also, don't miss two very special events during Art Walk:At 7 p.m., enjoy a  performance of selections from Handel'sMessiah by the Messiah Project Community Choir & Credo Dance Academy at First Baptist Church, 525 South Ave. Art Walkers can also take a stand against child abuse with the Children Taking a Stand Art Sale, 6-10 p.m. at Wesley Downtown, 413 E. Walnut. Sales of art by Robberson Community School children benefit the Child Advocacy Center, The Victim Center, and Court Appointed Special Advocates of Southwest Missouri

Finally, Art Walk has some sad news to share. Longtime Art Walk member Good Girl Art Gallery will not participate in April as owner Lil Olive is closing the business as of May 1.

From Lil: After going on 15 great years, the Good Girls are going on to other beckoning projects on the horizon.  We will miss all of our loyal customers, also known as the people of Springfield who "got it!" We have learned  Springfield is a growing mecca for creative and talented artists. Please continue to support the Art Walk and visit all the interesting venues the Art Walk has to offer!
