The International
Golf tournament and dinner
| Glen Echo Country Club is one on St. Louis' most beautiful golf venues. |
On July 27, the Institute will host its first golf tournament, The International, at historic Glen Echo Country Club. Glen Echo is the only US course to serve as a venue for an Olympic golf competition and the oldest private 18-hole club west of the Mississippi.
Glen Echo delivers a one-of-a-kind golf experience. It is a classic design and has held numerous amateur and professional tournaments. This 18-hole course was originally designed by 1896 US Open Champion Jim Foulis, who grew up on Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland. Most of the holes are as originally designed. The golf course is the best of both worlds: a historic layout mixed with modern-day features and amenities.
