On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce Lisa Mattis as the new CEO for Can Do MS.

Mattis is a seasoned nonprofit executive with 25 years of experience in strategic planning, board and staff development, and organizational alignment. Mattis recently held interim executive leadership roles at the Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges, World Class Accessibility Foundation, and The Joshua School.

"It is an honor to lead Can Do MS," said Mattis. "People with MS and their support partners experience an improved quality of life as a result of our programs. I look forward to developing strategic partnerships to increase the impact of Can Do MS programs across the country."

The Board of Directors and staff at Can Do MS welcome Lisa, and we look forward to working together on evolving the Can Do MS mission of transforming lives.

"MS sucks, but it's not a show stopper. You just get up and go and keep moving. I'm able to do things with my husband that I thought we had lost. I can be a part of my grandchildren's lives. I can dance. I can travel. I feel like there is some really great life in me to give to others." - Robin Kelly, CAN DO Program Alumna,
Can Do MS Board Co-Chair,

Tips and Tricks for Planning an Accessible Cruise
A cruise vacation is an excellent choice for people with MS. You can visit a lot of ports and only unpack once, which saves a lot of energy. And if fatigue hits while you're on a cruise, it's easy to alter your schedule and enjoy a low-key day on the ship. With a little research and advance planning, you can design a relaxing cruise vacation that meets your specific access needs. Read more.

Question: I recently had a new symptom during a relapse. It is a pain resembling an electric shock, but the pain was down my left arm - similar, I would imagine, to l'Hermitte's which is felt down the spine. I did go to A&E,and they agreed it was definitely neurological, not cardiac. Do other patients with MS have this type of pain in an arm or leg?
