Can Do Multiple Sclerosis is pleased to recognize March as MS Awareness Month, a nationwide effort to connect with everyone touched by multiple sclerosis and to educate others about MS. During the month of March, Can Do MS is asking everyone to become more involved with the MS community.

During this special month, take action to help others learn more about MS and what they can do to make a difference for those affected by this disease.

When Suzanne Vondrell decided to make a career switch from hotel management, she had no idea what her next step would be, but, she was ready to take a leap of faith in a new career. After discovering that Can Do MS was hiring she did some research on the nonprofit and found it to be a place she could share her compassion in helping others. Looking back, Suzanne can't believe that this year will mark her seven year anniversary with our organization.

I understand that MS affects the myelin that covers nerves. Does MS affect only the myelin in the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord), or can it also affect myelin on nerves throughout the body? Is myelin only on nerves in the CNS? If myelin is affected on nerves in other parts of the body, is that MS or a different disease?

Another year of Vertical Express for Can Do MS is in the books!  It was great to celebrate our 30th Anniversary as an organization and the 50th Anniversary of Jimmie Heuga & Billy Kidd winning Olympic medals with all of you. 

 

Together we raised $138,594 (and counting) for our lifestyle empowerment programs! Thanks to the over 440 participants and volunteers that helped us celebrate and most importantly raise funds for our programs!
