Greetings!
The donations have been tallied and we are thrilled to report that we raised $35,098, surpassing our year-end goal of $30,000. Our deepest thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to this fundraising effort to support our lifestyle empowerment programs. In addition to the nearly 200 donors who generously gave in support of our cause, special thanks goes to Rachel, who willingly shared her can do story to inspire others to give to our organization. The mission of Can Do MS can be achieved when people come together in collaboration and support of a common cause.
We look forward to a year of continuing to reach more people living with MS through our lifestyle empowerment programs and hope for your continuing support.
Some of you can still make a 2012 donation! The 2012 Tax Act retroactively reinstates and extends through 12/31/13 the provision for donors (70 ½ or older) to make tax-free distributions to a charity from an IRA of up to $100,000 per year. Donors may elect to have a distribution made in January 2013 be treated as if it were made on 12/31/12. Pretty Cool! If you are a donor that falls within this category, then you can donate today by clicking here!
