Dear Friends,
This year marks an exciting milestone for the Peter M. Winter Institute for Simulation, Education, and Research (WISER). As we celebrate 20 years of simulation training excellence at the University of Pittsburgh, we are looking forward to our future and continuing to revolutionize the future of powerful, innovative healthcare education.
To commemorate WISER's past, present, and future, we are hosting a celebration at the Senator John Heinz History Center on October 16, 2014. This event will be a unique, hands-on opportunity to showcase the outstanding advancements that WISER has made throughout the past 20 years. Attendees will be able to explore some of the innovative educational training simulators that our healthcare students and practicing professionals have used to improve patient safety at our main campus in Oakland and UPMC hospitals throughout Western Pennsylvania.
Also included in the evening's events, guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and music by local musicians Joe Negri and the Max Leake Trio. My entire team and I look forward to seeing you the evening of October 16th, 2014!
Best Regards,
Paul E. Phrampus, MD
