Save the date for a night you won't forget! We're Getting WISER! Aiming Beyond Excellence in Healthcare Education! This year marks an exciting milestone for the Peter M. Winter Institute for Simulation, Education, and Research (WISER).  As we celebrate 20 years of training excellence, we continue our journey to revolutionize the future with Education Improving Healthcare. To commemorate WISER's past, present, and future, we are hosting a celebration at the Senator John Heinz History Center on October 16, 2014.  This event will be a unique, hands-on opportunity to showcase the outstanding advancements that WISER has made throughout the past 20 years in patient safety and healthcare education.  Attendees will be able to explore some of the innovative educational training simulators that our healthcare students and practicing professionals have used to improve patient safety at our main campus in Oakland and UPMC hospitals throughout western Pennsylvania.
