Back to School Night September 1, 6:00PM

Check out everything happening at Back-to-School night TONIGHT: 
 
Reminder: ALL bus riding families must attend a bus rider safety meeting in the cafeteria that evening. Mr. Phillips will give a presentation in the cafeteria at 6:00, 6:30 and 7:00.  
 
To ensure families can visit multiple classrooms and catch Mr. Phillips in the cafeteria, each teacher will give the same presentation at 6:00, 6:30 and 7:00.  

This is a great opportunity to pick up SVA spirit gear! Staff will be on hand selling *NEW* black tees, along with the usual green and grey tees, stickers and more.  

Please plan to attend without your children tonight, if possible. If that is not an option for your family, please go ahead and bring them along. It is important to us that all families are in attendance at this event.

If you have not yet submitted your emergency cards and other required documents from the first day of school packet, YOU'RE LATE! 

Please return ALL forms from the packet to your child's teacher ASAP. 

All required paperwork was sent home with your child on the first day of school.

Mixed Bag Fundraiser

The first PTO fundraiser of the year kicked off on Monday, August 29 and runs through Friday, September 16. Look for information packets that came home with your child on Monday. Take note, there's no sales tax on your purchases. 

We're hoping for 100% participation to make this a huge success!

Enjoy coffee, milk, and pastries while getting to know other SVA parents. In the cafeteria, before school on Friday, September 16.

Substitute Teachers Needed

Sycamore Valley Academy has an experienced and dedicated teaching staff, but our substitute list is short.  

If you or someone you know has the desire to be a substitute teacher at our amazing school, has a bachelor's degree, has passed the CBEST, and is willing to get a substitute credential and fingerprint clearance we would love to expand our team.
