"Spring makes its own statement, so loud and clear that the gardener seems to be only one of the instruments, not the composer."
Geoffrey B. Charlesworth
Late last week I received a beautiful photograph of some daffodils blooming in a PROBUS member's garden in Craig Bay. Although, like many snowbirds and PROBUS club members, I am enjoying the warmth of the California desert, it made me long for the beauty of spring on the island. March can be an interesting month of varied weather but in the spirit of National PROBUS month get out and enjoy the wonderful mild weather, smell the earth and take joy in the beauties of all the new growth. Don't forget to set your clocks ahead for Daylight Savings on Sunday March 8th and celebrate with friends and hoist a glass of green beer on St. Patrick's Day. The spring equinox occurs on March 20th, but spring has already arrived! All the best, Pam
