It's that time of year... harvesting the veggies that the deer missed, mulching, raking, and giving thanks for how very fortunate we are.

SIGN UP NOW! CAR RALLY   

Gather your team, tune up your car (or navigational skills), and get ready for the open road.  The next Northwest Bay PROBUS car rally is scheduled for the morning of Tuesday, October 7th.

 

There will be a sign up sheet at the October meeting.  Drivers, navigators, or just observers - get ready for some fun!!

Newcastle Island Hike

Newcastle Island is a hidden gem and, despite it's proximity to downtown Nanaimo, many people in Oceanside have never been to it.  On Saturday, September 13, 2014 the Northwest Bay PROBUS group set out to explore the island on its third hike of the season...

HALLOWEEN FUN!Volunteers

All Probus members are cordially invited to join the Fairwinds Community in a HOWLING good time on Friday October 31st. 

 

HALLOWEEN GALA

This, the first, Halloween Gala (for which costumes are encouraged, but not mandatory) includes great food, prizes and a live auction.  

 

LIVE AUCTION (Proceeds to Nanoose Community Services)

Get your teams together to bid on:

  • a fun-filled day on the HMCS Oriole for 14 people (in and out of Nanaimo)
  • a wall of wine
  • paintings by local artist, Charlotte Madison
  • a signed Trevor Linden jersey
CARVE AN AWARD-WINNING PUMPKIN
And bring it to the Fairwinds Golf Club by 4pm Halloween day. Your creation will be entered into the pumpkin-carving competition. Prize-winners do not need to be present at the Halloween Gala.   

HALLOWEEN RAFFLE 
Over $3,000 worth of prizes for golf, accommodation, restaurants, ladies' clothing, gourmet foods, jewellery, etc. etc.  All the proceeds go to Nanoose Community Services - who help the less fortunate put food on the table and keep the heat on in their homes. 

Tickets are available ($5 each or 5 for $20) at Fairwinds Centre as well as Coastal Community and PERKS in Red Gap.
