The City Council will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers. During the meeting, the mayor will present his "State of the City" address and his budget for the 2016 Fiscal Year.

I will not attend the meeting due to an unavoidable business trip out of state. However, I am very interested to hear your opinions directly via email or during the public hearings as I am the sponsor or co-sponsor of most of the legislation up for a public hearing. So, if you testify, then please speak clearly into the microphone so I can listen to the video replay later!

BUSINESS AND MISCELLANEOUS

Proposal to Withdraw O-1-15

Comment: The Mayor introduced this legislation with the understanding that a lease between the City and its tenant was necessary. The tenant is an employee of the City and is essentially on duty 24/7 to monitor the grounds of and for emergencies at the City's Water Treatment Plant. As an alternative, the Mayor now proposes to withdraw this legislation and memorialize the understanding that this employee must live at this residence as a condition of his employment, which satisfies IRS regulations.

Comment: The Department proposes to reallocate funds from its budget from its administrative account to pay for repairs at the PMRC, contractual instructors for fitness programs, and maintenance and repairs to Truxton Pools.

GT-14-15         Recreation & Parks/Dock Fund HBR - Salaries to HBR - R&M Equipment
Comment: The Department proposes to reallocate funds from its budget from unused salaries account to pay for a new engine to its main patrol boat.
