LOVE YOUR HEART
February Tips for Taking Action

Heart disease is impartial to gender, age, and ethnicity--it can affect all of us at any time. The good news is that you can reduce your risk by focusing on your lifestyle and habits. To learn more about risk factors and what you can do to mitigate them, click here.

An important first step to improving heart health is working with your health practitioner to understand your personal risk profile. To ensure that you're getting all the information you need to take informed action, click here for a list of questions to ask during your next checkup.

While chest pain can be an indicator of a heart attack, it could also be a symptom of other conditions, such as heartburn, upper respiratory infection, shingles, or panic attack. To educate yourself on the major symptoms of a heart attack, and factors that can increase your risk, click here. If you think that you or someone you know is having a heart attack, call 9-1-1 immediately.
