Featured Customer

This month, our featured customers are Dr. John and Mrs. Janet Ferguson. When we asked if they would be willing to write up a recommendation, this was Mrs. Ferguson's reply: "Mike, it would be a pleasure to endorse your company for the beautiful job you did with our master bathroom.    We had an avocado green bathtub and toilet, both of which still were 100% functional.   Our cabinets were also original with our house, which was built in 1973.   The configuration was not very efficient or attractive, and I had only the single sink.   By re-designing the two master bedroom closets into one  master closet, putting a pocket door in the bathroom and moving the doorway from the den, the bathroom seems much larger, and now there is room for a separate room for the toilet; I have a large jetted garden tub,  a large steam shower with glass doors,  and even a double sink.   Nothing is where it was before.   And, the single closet works just fine because it is very large.   The re-design meant, however, plumbing and wiring all had to be moved, so it was a major undertaking.     I even have a wall-mounted TV which can be turned for viewing from any part of the bathroom.    All the Mike Wood workers were kind and considerate.  The work went on while we were living in it.  They also redesigned our den for us, which meant moving plumbing  and installing new modern lighting.  The old red fireplace tile was replaced by marble.  We surely have been enjoying the updates you did for us."

It's hard to know where to begin as we put our spotlight on Paige Merritt this month. Paige has an associate's degree from GMC and a Business/Marketing degree from GC&SU, yet began working for Mike Wood Builders knowing little about the construction industry. Seven years later, we don't know what in the world we'll do without her! Paige leaves us this month as she moves into the next phase of her life-a full time mom. Even though she will be greatly missed, we couldn't be happier for her.

Paige and her husband, Michael Merritt, have a one year old son, Sawyer, and are now anticipating the arrival of "Baby Girl Coley" soon.  Paige was born and raised right here in Milledgeville along with her older brother and three younger sisters and celebrates her 30th birthday this month. Her parents, Willard and Darlene Coley, say that her college degrees are just a small accomplishment compared to what a positive role model she is and has been to her sisters. She has a strong faith in God and exhibits the highest integrity in all she does. She is also dependable, frugal, respectful, and loyal to her family and to her Uncle Mike at Mike Wood Builders and ReBath®. Paige's favorite quotation is "What does not kill me makes me stronger." We love you Paige and wish you all the best in your new endeavor!
