Baseball's 2014-15 Incoming Class Ranked 64th by Perfect Game USA
|
Perfect Game USA, the biggest scouting and recruiting entity in baseball, recently revealed its incoming class of 2014-15 College Recruit Rankings, and has ranked Santa Clara's class 64th of 296 NCAA Division I teams
The group of 12 soon-to-be Broncos is the highest-rated SCU class since Perfect Game began ranking recruiting classes in 2011. It is also the third recruiting class under current head coach Dan O'Brien.
"We still have a lot of work to do but we should all be proud and excited to receive this recognition," said, O'Brien. "That said, while we're all involved in recruiting, Coaches Ribas and Beauregard deserve the bulk of the credit for this class. They've made a lot of sacrifices for this program as of late and their hard work has certainly paid off."

Getting to Know Senior Zach Looney |
Why did you choose Santa Clara? It has always excited me to be part of the team that brings this historic program back to where is has been in the past. Santa Clara has an amazing history and I want to be part of the process of getting back to that point.
What draws you to baseball? What is special about the college game? Baseball is not only a very demanding game in terms of physical skill, but it challenges you as a whole person. Baseball shows how you respond to adversity and I've always been fascinated with that aspect. I have always been drawn to the fact that winning requires a team effort. The college game is so special to me because it truly is about the team and playing baseball the right way.
