April 10, 2012 - On a wet, cold night, Santa Clara baseball topped Cal, a 2011 College World Series participant, by a final of 8-5. The Broncos are now 18-12 overall while Cal moves to 17-14. Read More... 

 

#8. Two Broncos Taken in MLB Draft
June 6, 2012 - On an exciting day for Bronco athletics, Santa Clara had two outfielders drafted in 2012 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft on Wednesday. Lucas Herbst was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles with the fourth pick in the 26th round and Pat Stover was selected with the 18th pick in the 40th round by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Read More... 

 

#7. Baseball Has Three Honored by WCC for Work in the Classroom
May 25, 2012 - Getting ready to finish up a successful first season under head coach Dan O'Brien and his staff, Santa Clara baseball had three players named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic team, the conference announced Friday. January 17, 2012 - Santa Clara baseball has announced the recruiting class of 2016, the first under new head coach Dan O'Brien and his coaching staff. #5. Bronco Baseball Finishes Non-Conference Play with 13-4 Record 
March 21, 2012 - With 13 days of rest, Santa Clara baseball (13-4) will return to the field Sat., Mar. 24 through Mon., Mar. 26 at San Diego in the first West Coast Conference games of the season for the Broncos. #4. Baseball Team Raises over $10,000 for Childhood Cancer Research
April 21, 2012 - After the game versus Pepperdine at Schott Stadium, Santa Clara players and coaches shaved their heads in support of St. Baldrick's "Base Bald" program. February 24, 2012 - After a terrific opening week and in front of a near-sellout, Santa Clara baseball built more momentum by rocking Illinois-Chicago 9-3 on Fri. night in the home-opener for the Broncos. #1. Broncos Beat Two Top 25 Teams and Win Bobcat Invitational in Texas 
February 19, 2012 - The Dan O'Brien era has started with a bang as the Broncos swept three games this weekend in Texas at the Bobcat Invitational versus quality opponents. On Sunday the Broncos defeated Louisiana-Lafayette 8-5.  On Saturday the Broncos defeated Texas State 5-4 in 13 innings and then Wichita State 7-1 in 12 innings. Read More...
