Testing
As you probably know, it's just about that time of year when our annual State testing begins and everyone across our schools, our district and our state are keenly focused on the task at hand. Nevertheless, it's important to remember that testing is only an effort to see how well students understand and have mastered certain concepts. It has its place in providing important data to our teachers and our system about where we are, where we need to be, and how we can get there. For that reason, testing can be of significant value, and we hope that the teaching and learning that have occurred all year will be reflected in the assessment results.
