This week, all Alabama juniors participated in the state-wide administration of the ACT. The test is important not only because it is now the State's "measuring stick" for college and career readiness, but the test is also a major step forward on the journey toward college attendance.
When Birmingham City Schools educators administered an ACT practice test to all juniors and seniors in January, 978 students either signed their names and turned the test in blank or didn't show up at all.
