Partnering to support students, families and schools,
As we prepare for the beginning of the 2013-14 school year, many
of our partners who support schools in direct and indirect ways. I would like to recognize just some of those efforts that will be taking place to assist this school year. Our Ready Day One campaign will again provide uniforms and school supplies for students of all levels. This year, haircuts and manicures will be provided as well.
The 18th annual back to School R.E.S.P.E.C.T rally
This year's event, held at Kelly Ingram Park, serves to instill the best motivational activities for our students and also provide school supplies and information about additional supports for families.
Ageless Restoration, Inc., is joining forces with Birmingham City Schools' Partners in Education and Walgreens to collect and donate School Supplies with a drive called "
FILL THE TRUCK FOR THE KIDS".
Again, these are only a few of the upcoming events and activities that support back to school efforts in our community. We thank these and all of our partners as we strive to ensure the success of our students. Visit our website, under 2013-14 registration, to see more about these events. School starts on August 19. Let's all be Ready Day One!
