Meet and Greet with Planning Director  

  

This month's Coffee with the Commissioner will be Wednesday, October 23rd at Whidbey Tel's Wi-Fire in Freeland. I will have Dave Wechner with me, Island County's new Director of Planning and Community Development. It is a no-host coffee and conversation about issues important to our community. I hope you will join us from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm.

In the winter of 2012, the Clinton Community held a Future Search Conference to address the needs of this gateway to Whidbey Island. One common concern was to create a voice for this unincorportated area and the Clinton Community Council was formed as a result.

  

This Thursday, October 24 the Council is hosting their annual gathering to hear updates about issues important to Clinton. I will be one of the presenters along with the County Planning Department, the Port District, the Chamber and the Progressive Association. Social time begins at 6:30 pm in the Clinton Progressive Hall and the event ends at 8:30 pm.
