AACC's 96th Annual Convention is right around the corner. The AACC annual meeting is among the largest and most dynamic gatherings of educational leaders, attracting over 2,000 community college presidents and senior administrators, as well as international educators, representatives of business/industry, and federal agencies. We hope to see you in Chicago!

Spotlight Stories
McHenry County College won the "College Leadership and Sustainability Award" from the Illinois Green Economy Network (IGEN). This consortium promotes the sharing of sustainability resources, experiences, and promising practices. 

Johnson County Community College
JCCC received county recognition for their strong efforts to eliminate waste and promote reuse. Learn more about the variety of programs they have implemented as part of their commitment to sustainability.
Trends and Partner Opportunities

Second Nature's Climate Leadership Commitment has expanded to now include the "Carbon Commitment" and the "Resilience Commitment". 
Presidents and Chancellors have the opportunity to be recognized as charter signatories of the Climate Commitment if they sign by April 22, 2016.  This is a new commitment  by Second Nature that incorporates carbon neutrality and resilience into a planning framework.

Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) released a case study in micro-credentialing. This report defines micro-credentialing in the energy field and their development process for the micro-credential.
