CPI Horse Show Updates and Latest News

CPI Hire a Coach Program

Just a reminder The CPI Horse Show requires participants be coached by a trainer during the horse show competition. If a student's trainer is not available to coach the participant, the CPI provides experienced coaching service for a fee of $60 per participant. Each participant will be coached in the flat class and the over fences class by a CPI trainer. This year's CPI trainer is Karen Flynn head trainer/owner of Tally Ho Farm in Miami, FL and the head coach of the University of Miami Equestrian Team and the Tally Ho Farm Interscholastic Equestrian Team. A third generation equestrian, Karen trained with many notable trainers throughout her extensive junior career, including Margie Goldstein-Engle and Jan Francis, and has shown at top shows including Washington, Harrisburg, and Pony Finals. Karen has also been recognized several times for excellence in training, including being awarded South Florida Hunter Association Trainer of the Year four times (1989, 1993, 1994, 2003) and U.M. Intramural Coach of the Year (2008). Her students have been to the top levels of hunter and equitation showing. She has trained several qualifiers for IEA Zone and IHSA National Finals, Devon, and Capital Challenge. Her most recent accolades include training the 2011 Marshall and Sterling Bit O'Straw Winner and the 2014 US National Junior Hunter East Coast 3'3" Overall Grand Champion.
