Watt Plaza was honored with the Local Outstanding Building of the Year Award (TOBY) on Thursday, October 27, 2011, held at the J.W. Marriott, Los Angeles at L.A. Live. The Outstanding Building of the Year Award is the most prestigious and comprehensive program of its kind in the commercial real estate industry. The award, issued by BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association), recognizes quality in office buildings and rewards excellence in office building management.

After winning the local competition, Watt Plaza entered the TOBY Regional competition for the Pacific Southwest region which includes CA, NV, AZ and HI. There are many similar regions across the US and primarily Canada (sometimes London competes).

We are pleased to announce that Watt Plaza has been awarded the distinction of 2012 Outstanding Building of the Year for the Pacific Southwest Region!

A hearty thank you to you, our tenants, for your patience and understanding while we have made improvements to the property. Please join us in celebrating this momentous achievement!

Employee Spotlight!

Pete Be, Assistant Chief Engineer, has been serving Watt Plaza for over 8 years! A highly skilled, well-trained and seasoned Building Engineer, Pete provides consistent high quality service to the building and its tenants. Pete Be takes a hands-on approach and leads by example. Pete is thoroughly admired and respected by his peers and has successfully maintained a leadership role within our crew of engineers. Pete has been known to spend many late nights working on projects to ensure minimal interruption to our tenants. His attention to detail, high standards, forethought, excellent planning and problem-solving skills have afforded the property much success in accomplishing its goals. In short, we are very lucky to have such a consciencious team member. As Thomas Edison once said, "There is no substitute for hard work!" Pete's work ethic exemplifies that notion. He is truly an inspiration to us all!

Discount Tickets

Building Management is pleased to introduce Fun Express, California's largest provider of discount entertainment programs. Each tenant and their employees will now be eligible to save up to 50% on Southern California's best family entertainment. Fun Express carries tickets to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knott's Berry Farms, Sea World, and over 40 other Southern California Dinner Shows, Movie Theatres, Water Parks and exciting activities. Employees can order via phone, mail or internet. Many tickets are available as e-tickets and can be sent via email to employees the same business day as ordered.

VISA, MasterCard and Discover are accepted by Fun Express. Internet orders received by 3:00 p.m. and phone orders received by 4:00 p.m. on regular business days are processed/shipped or sent via email the very same business day. Fun Express is open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Orders are not processed on weekends and holidays.

Upon receipt of this e-mail, you can enroll in this new program via a simple registration process: simply click HERE, then complete the Company Registration Form. The process takes less than 2 minutes and the program is free. Fun Express will approve your registration and email a confirmation to you containing a unique Employee Access Code (EAC) for your location.
