The Philippines are preparing for the first major storm since the rainy season began last month. Typhoon Rammasun, also known as Typhoon Glenda, is expected to make landfall on July 16. The area is currently experiencing high winds and is bracing for floods and landslides. Port closures have begun in anticipation of the storm. The Manila International Container Terminal (MICT) has temporarily suspended operations.
