Port workers in Chile are currently on strike, causing a delay in incoming and outbound shipments of container and dry cargos at multiple key ports. As of July 8, 2014, operations at Iquique (ITI on strike), Talcahuano (SVTI, Lirquen, Colenel on strike) and San Antonio (STI on strike) have been suspended. The strike will be indefinite until negotiations between the Union Portuaria and the Chilean government are resolved.
