An Industry & Informational Update

The Philippines' customs authorities have stopped processing key documents  that are required for  the duty free entry of household goods shipments. Shipments are experiencing delays as a result of the customs agency's recent reorganization, which directly affects the processing and release of their shipments. While no official strike has been declared, there is a heavy backlog and interruption to service. Shipments currently in transit to the Philippines will also be impacted by the delays.
