Dennis D. Putnam, Jr. of Hilldrup Moving & Storage, Stafford, VA., was awarded Van Operator of the Year for United Van Lines' continental fleet. One of United Van Lines most prestigious awards, it  recognizes Putnam's outstanding performance in both customer service and safety. United Van Lines Chairman Dan McCollister and United Van Lines CEO Rich McClure presented the award to Putnam at the company's recent convention in San Francisco.

During the 12-month qualifying period, Putnam drove more than 68-thousand miles, maintaining a perfect safety record and an remarkable claims rating of 0.36%. Putnam lives in Clifton Forge, VA., and has driven for Hilldrup for four years. He says that each and every move is memorable because each has its own unique story.
