Update on Status of New York / New Jersey Ports and Services

Three Ports Reopen

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has announced that the Port Elizabeth Terminal opened for business.

In addition, both the Newark Container Terminal and the Global Terminal in Jersey City will be open for business today. The longshoremen are back to work and unloading cargo. However, they are still working to restore power at all the terminals before they are able to return to full operation. Until full power is restored, those terminals without power will operate mainly during daylight hours.
