JOIN THE COOL CALIFORNIA CHALLENGE!  CLAREMONT IS CURRENTLY IN 1ST PLACE!

Claremont is one of 22 California cities competing in this year's  Cool California Challenge, a competition to reward residents for reducing their energy and gasoline usage while helping to build a more vibrant community. Last year, Riverside narrowly beat Claremont as the Coolest California City, and this year, Claremont is determined to win the title and the largest share of the $150,000 in prize money. Individuals, households, and businesses can sign up to earn points by tracking vehicle fuel and home energy use, setting and achieving goals to lower usage, and encouraging others to sign up for the Challenge.
