You are receiving the following information as a courtesy through the Canadian Quarter Horse Association
We, at CQHA. have worked with Equine Canada and representatives from the many stakeholder groups, to come together in the spirit of equity and co-operation, to present the membership with a set of By-Laws that we can all feel good about. As in any organization, it evolves over time, and we expect so will Equine Canada and the EC By-laws. The Canadian Quarter Horse Association Directors have reviewed and feel confident endorsing these By-Laws. If you're a member of your Provincial/Territorial Sport Organization (PTSO) or hold an Equine Canada Sport License, you're eligible to vote. You are NOT a voting member by simply being a member of CQHA. Please take the time to: GET Informed, GET Engaged, AND VOTE! Registration for voting closes August 26
Equine Canada is pleased to present you with the proposed EC By-laws and Articles of Continuance.
The proposed By-laws and Articles of Continuance are the result of extensive consultation and collaboration with EC's key partners and stakeholder groups, including Provincial/Territorial Equestrian Sport Organizations (P/TSOs), Sport, and Industry.
By working together, the EC Board, EC Governance Committee, and the By-laws Taskforce (including representatives from the core groups of provinces, sport, and industry), have created proposed By-laws that not only meet the requirements of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (CNCA), but also represent a framework that all parties believe will allow EC to be repositioned as a leading equestrian and equine federation premised on the core values of respect, diversity, inclusivity, service, excellence, and volunteerism.
We encourage you to get informed, get engaged, and vote.
