Registration and Voting Will Open Feb. 11, 2015
Equine Canada is about to undergo some of the most meaningful changes since its inception. The Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, which came into force in 2011, and its laws, must be incorporated into our governance structure. It promises to trigger renewal, revitalization and rewards for the equine community.
Thanks to the efforts of leading volunteers in our community, along with an extensive and broad consultation process, new By-laws have been drafted to align Equine Canada's structure to the new Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act. The proposed By-laws will be available for review Feb. 11, 2015. As a voting member of the organization, it is critically important for you to be aware of these meaningful changes.
The new By-laws will provide a modern and flexible governing framework for Equine Canada, and will connect its members more closely with the governance. Watch for updates coming to your inbox and in the EC Roundup, Equine Canada's weekly e-newsletter.
