2nd Notice of CQHA Annual General Meeting

Langley, BC - December 31, 2014 -- CQHA cordially invites you to attend our 2015 Annual General Meeting to be held in conjunction with the 2015 Ontario Quarter Horse Association's Annual General Meeting and Awards Banquet which will take place in Cambridge at the Holiday Inn.

CQHA is honoured to be invited by the Ontario Quarter Horse Association to hold our AGM in conjunction with with this event.

Everyone is invited to our CQHA AGM, there is no fee or pre-registration required to attend our meeting.

You do not have to be a CQHA member to attend, (unless you wish to stand for election as a CQHA Director and/or to vote on resolutions at the meeting).

Please take notice that the CQHA Board of Directors has approved new bylaws for continuance under the new Canada Not for Profit Corporations Act. The proposed new bylaws will be presented to the membership for a vote to accept or reject. The proposed new bylaws are available as a printable PDF file through a link on this CQHA webpage.

Besides the usual CQHA association business, there will be a special report made to update the progress towards reaching the goals of the:

Shannon Burwash Memorial Award for Equine and Agricultural Studies

Award Overview: Annual Scholarships, at a minimum of $2000, will be distributed commencing mid-2015. Preference will be given to eligible, full-time, post-secondary students (Canadian residents) whose studies have emphasis on the horse, agriculture, agri-business or equine veterinary medicine (in Canada).
