Old-school and down-to-earth exhibitors, owners and breeders are featured
in the June American Quarter Horse Journal.

Ten consecutive years of breeding horses takes some fortitude. But imagine 60 consecutive
years of breeding and registering American Quarter Horses - that takes a whole lot of good
horse sense and grit.

The June American Quarter Horse Journal takes a look at AQHA 60-year breeder Roy Fisher
Jr.'s longevity in the horse business, plus how line-breeding has played a role in that success.

Take a trip to Roy's small eastern Oklahoma ranch on Page 84, then turn back to our cover
story on Page 40 - the tale of how Diane Heath's life has changed thanks to her bay gelding,
All About Larry, who traded trail riding and working cattle for distance racing.

Owner and breeder Leslie Wallace, who hails from Langley, British Columbia, and youth rider
Ariel Piper of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, are also profiled in the pages of the June Journal.
These horsemen and -women are an inspiring bunch. We hope theirs are stories you will
greatly enjoy.

As a Journal subscriber, you have free access to the digital edition of the magazine, which you
can access from your computer or tablet device, such as an iPad or Kindle Fire.
