The American Quarter Horse Association will recognize the top three 70-&-over competitors in every class at the 2012 Adequan Select World Championship Show.

The top three 70-&-over competitors at the Adequan Select World, August 24 - September 1 in Amarillo, will receive an AQHA Super-Select award, designed by AQHA's new trophy company, Awards Recognition Concepts. This achievement will also appear on the official records of the horse and exhibitor.

"Recognizing our Super-Select exhibitors is a great way to shine the spotlight on exhibitors who have worked hard to qualify for the world show, and are tough competitors at the Adequan Select World," said AQHA President Gene Graves of Grand Island, Nebraska.

"Also, AQHA will once again recognize the Intermediate awards, which are awarded to the top-three Intermediate riders in every class," Graves added.

The qualifying period for the Adequan Select World ends May 31, and qualifiers must enter the event by August 1.

More exhibitors are eligible for the 2012 Adequan Select World through the AQHA Amateur Invitational Program. To learn more about the Amateur Invitational Program, or if you have any questions about the program, contact Kim George, AQHA world show specialist, at (806) 378-4338 or kgeorge@aqha.org.

The 2012 Adequan Select World will offer exciting competition for AQHA Select amateur members. This year, being the 10th celebration, will be the most exciting yet. Plans are already underway to make this a year for the record books. The Adequan Select World is the world's largest, single-breed world championship horse show open exclusively to amateur exhibitors age 50 and older. This is the pinnacle event for Select amateur competitors around the world who must qualify for the event by earning a predetermined number of points to secure a spot in each of the classes, representing English, western and halter disciplines.

Adequan is a proud sponsor of the Adequan Select World. Adequan is the official equine joint therapy of AQHA. When you choose a joint therapy for your horses, choose Adequan.
