Decorating Is Like Sex 

You know, recently, I got a lot of fun comments back after a post I did in which I joked that Design is a lot like sex.  People had fun with that - but I've got to tell you, the more I thought about it afterwards, the more true it really seemed to be to me!  (Does that make me a nut?)

So - for April Fools Day fun, To my Decorating Lovers and Designing Minds everywhere, here are some key Pearls of Decorating Wisdom that also fall under the observation that Decorating really is a lot like Sex.

1. Practice Makes Perfect.
2. It can get messy.
3. Technique counts.
4. You do need to learn what goes where.
5. It's better with the lights on.
6. Doing it always makes you feel better.
7. Sometimes, it's better when you mix it up.
8. It's great when done with someone you love.
9. Its better with chocolate (isn't everything?)

And lastly...sit down fellas...

10.  Size Matters!! (Girls...I'm talking about getting the right sized sofa...proportion, portion!)
