Lucky You

Do you know where your own personal 'good luck' sector falls in a building?

Feng shui teaches that every structure contains both favorable and unfavorable energy areas, determined by the year the roof enclosed it and the compass direction it faces.  Along with architecture, terrain, design details and use of the space, we use this information to enhance positive areas and "cure" those that are less so. It may surprise you to learn that each person also has four favorable compass directions that are more likely to bring happiness and success to them when activated properly. These directions are determined by calculating the elements that predominated at the time, day, season, year and location of birth - an integral part of a person's Four Pillars of Destiny.  But simply knowing your year of birth provides insight into which areas of a building can enhance luck.

Each of the twelve Chinese astrological animals and their attendant years is linked to an element (Wood, Water, Fire, Earth or Metal), a season, time of day and compass direction that will help determine where in your home or business to place a symbol of that animal, element or auspicious color. It is believed that by doing so, you will illuminate those favorable aspects of your personality. Making important decisions in this sector at your most favorable time of day further enhances your chances for success.

Following are the twelve Chinese astrological animals and years they represent.  Be sure to check the Lunar New Year dates for your year of birth as they differ from the western calendar.  (For example, 1976's Dragon year began on January 31, so if you were born on January 10, you are the Rabbit.)
