For Pete's Sake: A Pete Seeger Tribute Concert

Pete Seeger and his banjo by the waterPete Seeger was one of the great consciences of the environmental movement. With songs like "Sailing Down My Golden River," he sang movingly of the human connection to nature and our collective responsibility to protect it.  

 

Please join Save the Sound and Friday Night Folk next Friday for a free concert honoring Pete's legacy. Any donation you choose to give will support our work protecting and restoring Long Island Sound for generations to come.

Pequonnock Plant-a-thon 

Saturday, May 10 in Bridgeport, CT  

This spring--for the first time in 60 years--river herring will be able to safely migrate up the Pequonnock River in Bridgeport to their spawning grounds. The reason? A new fish passage we built! Come celebrate in person with a volunteer planting (email apaltauf@savethesound.org for info) or help purchase native plants for our habitat restoration program in honor of this momentous event!
