New Events for All Ages
Thanks to new levy funding: more events at all locations! At Bethel and Sheldon Branches: new Family Nights, teen First Friday activities, and Coloring Parties for adults (details). And Downtown: an evening Pajama Storytime (9/13) - more convenient for many parents - and Teen Ani-Manga Club (9/16) begin this month.

Fun & Learning for Kids
Back for the school year, Family Fun at the Downtown Library offers a new topic each Sunday including wetlands mammals (9/11), yoga (9/18), and storytelling (9/25). Kids read to dogs at Bethel and Sheldon (9/24, shown). Online: live homework help provides professional tutors who've earned rave reviews - and it's free!

As part of Lane Arts Council's Fiesta Cultural, enjoy an illustrated talk by Eric Mindling about Oaxaca (9/3). Lane Literary Guild's Windfall Series debuts More Voices: readings drawing on a wide diversity of traditions, talents, and perspectives. The first event features poet Jesús Sepúlveda and guitarist and composer Ricardo Cárdenas (9/20).
