More Hours Starting July 1
In November, City of Eugene voters decided to fund expanded Eugene Public Library services for five years beginning with the new fiscal year this summer. One of the promised changes: increased hours at all locations. Based on analysis of visitor patterns and input from users, the new schedule has been set to begin July 1, 2016. Read more.

Shakespeare's First Folio
Zounds! Eugene's Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art is the only Oregon stop on the national First Folio tour celebrating the 400th anniversary of The Bard's death. There's a full calendar of events, including a talk about Shakespeare by UO's Lara Bovilsky (1/16) and a concert of his words set to music (1/28) at the Downtown Library. Read more.

Volunteer to help get local children start school ready to read. Our Storytime To Go project boosts early literacy skills by bringing high-quality Library storytimes to daycares. Learn more about this fun and rewarding opportunity. Plus: preschool teachers and childcare providers are invited to a training to learn proven ways to Promote School Readiness (1/23) among the youngest Eugeneans.
