Storytime at the Library
Voters: "Yes" for Library Levy
In November, City of Eugene voters decided to fund expanded Eugene Public Library services for five years starting July 2016. Changes will include more hours at all locations; more programs, particularly for early childhood literacy; more books, DVDs, and other materials to borrow; and more access to technology, especially at Bethel and Sheldon. Read more.

Every Sunday, a new activity for kids and family: songs and dances of Africa (12/6); clay birds (12/13, bilingual); origami (12/20); or board games (12/27). During winter break, laugh with Mz. Pearl's Variety Show (Downtown 12/22; Sheldon and Bethel 1/2; shown). For teens: book group and movie (sign up now for 12/31); Dr. Who Club (12/11); or create Zipper Jewelry (12/30).

Now you can print documents on Library printers directly from your own laptop, tablet, or smartphone! Order online while at the Library, from home, or from anywhere. To begin, choose your desired pick-up location: Downtown Library, Bethel Branch, or Sheldon Branch. Printing on the go is fast and easy -- no cables, flashdrive, or library card needed. Read more.
Maker Hub rooms under construction
Maker Hub on the Way
Those sounds of construction on the 3rd floor of the Downtown Library? They signal the transformation of old offices into the new Maker Hub (shown as of today). This public space will be dedicated to learning, exploring, and creating with many technologies, from robotics to graphic design to video editing. Look for lots of opportunities for all ages starting in spring!

'Tis the Season
An annual favorite: The Nutcracker Short and Suite is a special version by-and-for-kids (12/9, shown). Gift buyers: your library card provides free online access to Consumer Reports. Or treat the booklovers in your life to a treasure from the Friends of the Library's store, or name a bookshelf or donation to Imagination Library in their honor.
