Library Levy Update
On Nov. 3, City of Eugene voters will decide whether to fund expanded Eugene Public Library services for five years. Measure 20-235 would increase access to the Library by providing more hours at the Bethel and Sheldon Branches and Downtown Library, as well as adding programs, materials (books, movies, etc.), and technology. At Intro to Online Genealogy (11/7), learn how to get started using the wide variety of resources available free through Eugene Public Library. Or get tips specifically for premium tools Ancestry and Heritage Quest (11/21).

Fun & Learning for Kids
There's a new Family Fun activity every Sunday at 2:30 at the Downtown Library. This month's topics range from gymnastics (11/8) to raptors (11/22) to marimba (11/29). All week long, young children get ready-to-read at Storytimes at all Library locations, with specific sessions designed for babies, one and two year olds, toddlers, preschoolers, in Spanish, and Sensory Storytime for kids with special needs.

Holiday Heads-Up
Discover amazing deals at the Holiday Gifts Book Sale (11/14), a fundraiser by the Friends of the Library. Small businesses and non-profits: learn last-minute tips to Rock Your Holiday Marketing (11/19). Beginners: get a hands-on-keyboard introduction to Microsoft Word by designing a holiday newsletter (11/9).

Get creative at a Handmade Journals workshop for adults, and make a book for yourself or as a gift (Sheldon 11/7, Bethel 11/17). Learn how to make the most out of your iPad (Bethel 11/10). Get help with your phone, tablet, e-reader, or questions about websites, downloading, and other online activities at Tech Time (Sheldon 11/10).

Thankful for Volunteers
This past year more than 250 volunteers, from teens to seniors, generously contributed their time and talents to Eugene Public Library, serving nearly 14,000 hours face-to-face and behind-the-scenes. Thank you a million times over! And thanks also to all who share their support through our partner non-profits, the Friends of the Library and the Library Foundation.
