Director's Report
Things are getting busy around here. We just finished revising our group traditions guide booklets and work continues on the online workshop project (some pages may be viewed at new.overcomersoutreach.org) Groups are getting together for HIM meetings, social events, and community service. We feel at least some of the increase in group participation is due to the ongoing focus on the importance of the traditions. These events, and many others, are helping groups and members to work together and support each other as they reach out to those still suffering. By getting together and exchanging ideas and resources, more people can be introduced to the Gospel and Christ's healing.  See our Events page for details and updates. We also welcome your group event for posting. Contact the Central Office.
The body of our pamphlet "Circus of Codependency" was just re-published in the magazine "Psychology for Living" (Narramore Christian Foundation), and in March, the radio program "Family Talk with Dr. James Dobson" just rebroadcast an interview with our founders titled "Overcoming Alcoholism". Some new interest has been sparked, and more importantly, many others have now heard our message of hope.
Pastor Azhar Kaleem of Pakistan is "back online" after a long break in Brazil (where he was ordained as a minister and also blessed with a newborn son) and is currently in Nepal, where he hopes to start an Overcomers Group as well. He also hopes to join us camping this June in Morro Bay, CA.
"Doors" continue to open all over the world, and we have new opportunities to share the Gospel and make disciples, as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19. But we need not travel far - a neighbor, co-worker, or relative may be suffering from the ways of "this world". I was just with some recovery friends for lunch after a 12-Step meeting, and I found myself sharing the Good News with some newcomers, completely unplanned, but wholly welcomed by all at the table. As I drove home, it was clear to me that this was exactly what was needed at the time - this is Overcomers, one on one. Be ready for God to use you, too!

Hi Jeff,
We held our 1st Annual NorthEast Conference in Hackensack NJ., April 20, 2013. It was a smaller turnout than anticipated, however a very successful gathering. We had many testimonies of Christians from all age brackets spread throughout Worship & a special testimony performed in a rap song.

I would like to thank Wayne & May from PA. OO, Ralph from Elizabeth N.J,, Jairo from Summit Church Hackensack N.J., & Wynetta from NYC. for not only attending, but also for Participating in a group at the end to help us QC ourselves for next year, & sharing their stories that led the to Overcomers Outreach. Thanks to God we all left with Prayer & awesome ideas for next year.

I also would like to thank Our Church, Ebenezer House of Restoration, & The Senior Pastor of English Ministry & Apostle Head of our Church for helping us with plenty of food for Breakfast, & Lunch, including desserts, & of course God Bless The Worship Team.

5th Annual OO Campout - June 21st-23rd - Morro Bay, CA

So far, the campsite is less than half full, but we may have campers coming from as far away as Pakistan this year! We have a group campsite this year which allows 35 overnight campers. Up to 8 rv's (no hook-ups) or other vehicles (trailers, pop-ups, etc.), but primarily tent-camping. Shower facility, large grill pit, and away from the rest of the campground, this is a great spot. We will have a "pot-luck" night Friday, where everyone shares a dish, and a barbecue dinner Saturday night. Campfire meetings, day hikes, beach and even shopping downtown Morro Bay! Something for everyone, so bring your s'mores and join us.
