| HEALTHY KIDS DAY |
|
Being healthy and having fun are important at our YMCA, so be sure not to miss Healthy Kids Day-- a national event that promotes well-being for children and families. Our nation's obesity and health crisis demands that our YMCAs reach more people in order to promote better living.
In support of this event, the Victory Family YMCA hosts Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 26th from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Nutritious snacks, children's screenings, goody bags, parent handouts and more will be provided. Other community organizations will also participate in this event. So save the date and join us for a fun-filled afternoon! No registration is required and the event is open to the public, so bring your friends and neighbors.
For more information, please contact Franki Pivarnik, Community Wellness Director, at 867-3300 x225 or at Franki.Pivarnik@peninsulaymca.org.

| WE'RE MORE THAN YOU KNOW, WE'RE A CAUSE | | Our members and friends call us THEIR Y. We call them OUR greatest resource-- they are the people who work alongside us and support our work to help our neighbors learn and grow.
What if we could harness all of that power to make an even greater difference on a bigger scale?
With programs from A to Z-- like athletics to advocacy, dance classes to disease prevention, volleyball to volunteerism-- we don't just strengthen individuals, we strengthen our community.
Yet there is so much more to do.
Our community faces new challenges that create a greater need for the work that we do. Fortunately, where we see some obstacles, we see opportunities for our members, volunteers, staff and generous donors like you to make a difference. No other organization can impact as many people as powerfully as we do every day.
Every gift makes a difference. Everyone has a role to play Together, we can achieve so much more.
The Y. So Much More.

| BADMINTON TOURNAMENT BENEFITS YMCA | | |
The first badminton tournament benefiting the Victory Family YMCA Annual Giving Campaign was held on Sunday, March 9, with 56 participants. We would like to thank badminton instructor Mike Crawshaw, who organized the tournament and volunteered countless hours since our badminton program began in December 2013. Mike built and donated the badminton nets and several rackets and has offered youth lessons on Saturday afternoons.
Ji Su, Victory Family YMCA member, was also instrumental in establishing the badminton program here and connecting us with Mike Crawshaw. Many thanks to Ji and Mike, as well as the badminton players, for their continued support.
A $500 donation was presented to our YMCA!
