  • A summer eight-week paid internship with a nonprofit organization selected by the bank.
  • The week-long, all-expense paid Student Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. from July 13-18, 2014.

Students can apply for the program by going to www.bankofamerica.com/studentleaders. Please note the application opens on October 28, 2013 with a deadline of January 31, 2014.

MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING

At Victory YMCA, Bushin Kan Martial Arts features Karatedo,  Jujutsu and we focus on practical self-defense skills.  Our basic physical skills curriculum includes strikes, kicks, blocks, escapes, grappling, throws, ground maneuvers, joint locks, holds, sweeps, break falls, and defensive options. Students are exposed to theories, tactics, skills, and methods adapted to meet modern needs and contingencies.

Our year-round program emphasizes real world applications and extensive physical, mental, and emotional development. Through vigorous physical training, students can improve their strength and overall physical fitness.

Progress in any martial arts system requires hard work, dedicated training, and perseverance. At Bushin Kan Martial Arts, we welcome anyone who earnestly desires to learn.

Classes are from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursdays. Registration is ongoing at the Welcome Center.  For more information, contact Larry King at (757) 595-8100.
