Eligibility: Kindergarten - High School
Essay Format: Typed in 12 pt. font, double-spaced or handwritten in ink, double spaced. 1,000 word maximum.
Cover Page: Needs to include name, age, grade, mailing address, phone number and email. Students should include their name on the cover sheet only, NOT on the essay.
Deadline: Sept. 23 at 5 p.m. Winners will be notified Oct. 4.
Grade Categories: Kindergarten, Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6, Grades 7-8 and Grades 9-12
Judging Criteria: Originality and Creativity - 40%, Style and Content - 30%, Spelling and Grammar - 20% and Neatness - 10%
