The Symphony is Coming to Town...
for Holly Jolly Symphony Spectacular Dec. 7
For only the second time in 23 seasons, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion rings in the holidays with a heartwarming celebration that features the sounds of the season at Holly Jolly Symphony Spectacular. Join us Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. as The Pavilion is magically transformed into a Winter Wonderland complete with snow!
Tickets are $15 for orchestra seating. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free courtesy of Woodforest National Bank and KPMG, LLP. Tickets are not required for free seating. Gates open at 6 p.m.
The evening's musical holiday merriment features the Houston Symphony performing holid ay classics and popular tunes conducted by Robert Franz. Warm your spirit with joyful sounds of songs such as "A Christmas Festival" medley with "Joy to the World," "Deck the Halls" and "Jingle Bells." Also included are Suite from "The Nutcracker," a Christmas Pops Sing-Along, Suite from "The Snow Maiden," "A Hanukkah Overture," "
Sleigh Ride" and more. Westside High School's Inertia Dance Company joins the symphony performing to "Toot, Toot, Tootie, Toot" and "Sugar Rum Cherry" from "The Nutcracker," as well as to "Dance of the Buffoons" from "The Snow Maiden."
The North Plaza feels more like the North Pole as it's all decked out for holiday fun. Starting at 6 p.m., guests can visit with Santa, Frosty and other holiday characters, make arts and crafts, play in the snow, listen to carolers sing and much more. The snow is sponsored by Hubbell & Hudson. All aboard for a ride on the Candy Cane Express for a merry good time starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Gold Lot.
The North Plaza is sponsored by Fidelity Investments, Market Street-The Woodlands, Renewal by Andersen and Century 21 Realty Partners. Plaza activities also feature The Pavilion Partners, Woodforest National Bank, Liberty Mutual, The Woodlands College Park High School Orchestra, Shen Yun and Audi of America, official automobile of The Pavilion.
Preferred parking is available in the on-site Town Center Garage, located along Six Pines Drive. Parking is $5 per vehicle for this and most performing arts events. Tickets for on-site parking can be purchased in advance at all Ticketmaster locations and The Pavilion Box Office. Guests also may park in any of the five free parking lots on the southwest side of The Pavilion. The free, color-coded lots are connected to The Pavilion by corresponding pathways with signs leading across The Waterway.
