WHO IS WITH ME?
I hope you had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving with friends and loved ones. The holiday season and New Year's are just around the corner, and that means it is time to start thinking about next year's campaign to end insurance discrimination against chiropractic. In January 2013, the Arizona Legislature will begin a new session. ACS will represent 1,700 Arizona chiropractors and approximately 500,000 Arizonans who receive chiropractic care. Chiropractic is fully legal yet the battle for full insurance equality continues.
This election brought exciting changes for the anti-discrimination movement. All of our supporters were reelected to the Arizona Legislature. Key allies were appointed to chair the committees that will hear our bills. Insurance equality is poised to look like a mainstream notion.
I am excited about what we can accomplish if we can harness the momentum! Just look what is on the horizon at the Arizona Chiropractic Society (ACS) - an all new insurance equality law, a ruling expected any day from the Court of Appeals on our lawsuit against ADOI, a new lawsuit directly attacking copayments, individual lawsuits over denials of medically necessary care, preparing for implementation of federal health care reform with its anti-discrimination provisions for chiropractic, and powerful new public relations campaigns. We can really push the envelope in 2013, but only if we have your participation and support!
Can you take a minute right now to join ACS or make a special year-end contribution of $50, $100 or some other amount to support ACS? Go to www.AZChiropractors.org and click on Join Now or Donate Now.
You know ACS can make a difference when we have the resources we need. Your support now means we will be poised to fully fund our ace lobbyist Tim LaSota and our premier attorney David Abney so that we can pass insurance equality legislation and win our lawsuit. The legislation and lawsuit will transform chiropractic into a mainstream profession so that your compassionate care is fully reimbursed at long last.
We have work to do in the courts. ACS will keep fighting in our groundbreaking lawsuit... all the way to the Arizona Supreme Court if necessary. We are also going to bring the issue of insurance discrimination to the forefront with new insurance equality legislation over the failure of insurers to cover all medically necessary chiropractic care. We will highlight the fact that our patients are being forced to turn to addictive prescription painkillers since they cannot access chiropractic care due to insurance restrictions. The conversation is already changing as Arizonans learn that chiropractic truly is the answer for this deadly epidemic.
We can do all of this and more if we have your help. We can support legislative efforts, litigation, and keep doing the kind of proactive media that changes minds. But we need your support now to make it happen in 2013. Please make a generous year-end gift or join and sign up for an affordable recurring monthly contribution right now. I know we are going to make a big difference, and I know you are going to help ACS push the envelope in 2013. Thank you for your support!
